This is an overview of Reverse Angle's vision of the image of the future for squash, each business we work with will have their own specific goals and therefore the event will hinge around the sponsors.
If you are a prospective sponsor it can be difficult to imagine just how the concepts we talk about here will look for real, Reverse Angle can give you a "virtual" look at what an event might look like, contact us to find out more.
Reverse Angle's Image
Locations: Squash is played at the professional level on an all glass court, as seen at the top of the page, The court is constructed on site and gives excellent viewing of the action for the spectators on all four walls. These courts can be put anywhere!, the floor space is around 60 square metres, so where?, one thing is for sure we do not believe that good exposure for our clients is to hide this court away inside a venue with limited seating. There is a WOW factor for most people when they see squash being played on one of these courts....so it's time to open the mind......Where? well the more people the better, shopping centre, train station, city centre, a beach, the possibilities are endless, but the key factor here is that it must be visible to PEOPLE, No Reverse Angle events will take place in areas that are not open to the Public's gaze.
Seating: There have been tremendous developments in court technology to improve the viewing of the game but until now, this is coupled with a traditional seating pattern around the court, Reverse Angle is working with event partners to develop new structures designed specifically for squash that allow the spectators to get nearer to the action and to create an intense exciting atmosphere around the court.
Players: Ok, so you have your location, you have a state of the art glass squash court, what now, we need the players...Reverse Angle believe that this is one of the most important keys to the success of changing the future of the game, when people go to watch Manchester United, some go for the game, but many many more are there to see the stars of the game, these players command high wages because they bring in the crowds....Reverse Angle has a high priority on elevating player awareness among the general public, this is vital to the future of squash.
Communication: Reverse Angle is committed to working with sponsors to reach specified demographics, we are not looking purely at marketing to the "existing" squash fraternity, but to a wider new audience, the current marketing channels for events is appalling and many existing squash players are unaware of the 'pro' events that are taking place near them, nor is there process in place to get these people to events. Reverse Angle intend to bypass the existing communication channels and take the game directly to the people.
The F1 Factor: How many people watch Formula One?, millions, but in reality it is not such an exciting sport, there is more action in many other motor sport divisions. The F1 Factor is what makes sport watchable, it's been done with sports like cricket, golf that now makes these sports fascinating to watch even for the armchair viewer. Its about information, on screen graphics, instant replays, statistics, analysis, superb commentary, Squash is about to enter a new phase where we give squash the F1 treatment, Yes, for the people watching on TV but also for the spectators at court side, using big screens and for the first time you will be able to sit in the court side audience and listen to live commentary. This will bring the game to the masses.
Squash on TV, Squash on the Web: TV, the Web the media in general all links in with everything above, if you have fans, if you have novelty if you have big WOW then you have an event, There is little point arguing about the technology, it's there, it just needs to be utilised better. They are fantastic production teams such as Squashlive and PSAlive who have years of experience in experimenting how to film squash and present it. Companies like Horizon Software are leading the way for event screen presentations and much more......and there is much more.
The Events: Historically professional squash events revolve around the professionals and their tournament, Reverse Angle's events will revolve around the sponsors and the maximising the use of the court and it's location. RA's events will include professional tournaments as there centrepiece but will be garnished with an aggressive schedule of squash related entertainment; Corporate Challenges; Record Attempts; Grass Roots Challenges; Celebrity Matches; Squash Demonstrations; Coaching School; Doubles Exhibition; Racquetball Exhibition; the court will be used for the maximum possible time for the duration of the event.
